Uniden MR-8100 CHP Mobile Scanner

Description: This is a rare find. This unit was designed for either the California Highway Patrol, the Los Angeles PoliceDepartment, or the Feds in 1989 for use in the cruisers. The frequency coverage is 29-54, 118-174, 406-512, 806-956 MHz in AM and FMIt does not have an internal speaker. The scanner runs on 12 volts DC vehicle and draws less than800 mA.To program it using a PC you will need an older computer with a serial port and a regular serial cable. The Uniden software is downloadable online as are several other apps that run this scanner.This is a very neat and highly collectible scanner.
