Tight and nice first English edition of the eighth title in Sinclair's popular eleven-volume "Lanny Budd" series concerning this suave and debonair son of an American weapon manufacturer who manages to get himself involved in all manner of world events. Jacket front panel conveys the feel: "Dinner at the White House with Churchill, espionage in Tunisia, strange encounters with Hitler and Göring inside grim, bomb-battered Germany -- Lanny Budd, secret agent, continues his thrilling career."
