Description: VERY OLD ANTIQUE 1790's-1820's WOODEN DECORATIVE SNUFF BOX WITH HAND-PAINTED LID This is a very old antique wooden snuff box with a hand-painted top lid. This box probably dates from the 1790's-1820's by the design of the brass hinges and gold leaf paint design on the outside. Top lid has an oil hand-painted cottage design. Box is in good condition overall for its age with just some natural wear present. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures 3 and 3/4" wide by just over 2 and 1/4" thick by about 1" tall when lid is closed. Wonderful old wooden hand-painted snuff box would be a great decorative piece for you. Don't miss it.
