Description: Offered to you is this very rare black painted Leica M-P (typ 240) Correspondent Edition issued in collaboration with Lenny Kravitz - the musician, actor and designer. The special edition is strictly limited to 125 sets worldwide. Kravitz is an avid Leica shooter who is publishing photo books documenting his life as a rockstar. He received his first Leica, a Leicaflex, as a gift from his father when he was 21. In designing this new “Correspondent” Leica M-P, Kravitz wanted to bring back the aesthetics of his old beautifully aged Leica. The surface of the new camera and lens have been artificially aged, entirely by hand, to suggest “many years of constant use.” The black painted M-P typ 240 camera has got the serial number : 4934938 (and limited edition number : 029/125) as for the black painted Leica Summicron-M 1:2.0/35mm ASPH. has got : 4001909. The real Leica aficionado probably notes that this “set” normally contains 2 lenses (also the Leica Summilux-M 1:1.4/50mm ASPH. in black paint) but it only comes with the 35mm lens !! The “ultimate” Leica aficionado probalby notices that the black painted Leica Summicron-M 1:2.0/35mm ASPH. which is coming with this set is not the normal one but actually is the so called “Millennium” edition lens , so this lens actually shows “true and value” marks on a black painted lens which is (if you ask me) the nicest to see !!
