Description: This listing is for a very hard to find, near antique, Mexican Serenade Romeo & Juliet dinner plate. Made in the 1930's by Vernon Kilns (one of the "big five" California potteries) or their predecessor Poxon it is 9" in diameter and features a fluted scalloped rim edged in 22k gold. It is in beautiful condition with no chips, cracks, stains or repairs that we can detect. There are minor utensil marks that are not obvious when the plate is on display. The colors are nice and bright with no faded areas. There are a couple small skips or paint loss in the black line on the inner edge of the rim. (See all photos to assess condition for yourself).
