Description: Selling this vintage Native American art pottery piece for my friend whose mother (Carol Nelson) lived and worked in Arizona during the 1950's and 60's on reservations. She collected Native American pottery, baskets and other artisan goods. This pot is by GARNET PAVATEA, attributed to the Hopi tribe. The black hand painted design on a terracotta colored body is evocative of exotic birds. The pot is in good condition, no chips or cracks, with one noticeable scratch and some black "smudge" in one area (see photos). It measures approx. 6.5" in diameter, and 3" high. The opening measures approx. 3" in diameter. A hard to find vintage piece to add to your collection! Buyer pays s/h/ins. of $12.95 in the cont. US. Payment due within 2 days of end of auction.
