Description: On the block: One (1) vintage 1985 "I'm Not Herb" Burger King employee pinback button. It measures approx 3 inches from side to side and features a white background with red, black and yellow printing. Along the edge curl , in black, is : " 1985 BURGER KING CORPORATION ALL RIGHTS RESERVED PRINTED IN USA BKC-217". Multi shell pressed construction with metal back and spring pin. In fair used condition with marks commensurate of a 25+ year old button. No large creases or image loss. There is a raised dimple opposite where the rear pin rests. There is a small dent and heavier scratch in the letter "B" of the word "HERB" as well as several small dings overall. Due to the age and construction of this pin, the plastic cover is starting to lift at the edge. This does not effect displayability but will effect wearability. Good color and printing. Darkening from handling/age on the back. See pics. Where's Herb? was an advertising campaign for Burger King that ran from 1985 to 1986. If you were lucky enough to spot Herb - you won $5000 and all the customers in the restaurant at the time were entered into a drawing for $1 million. Unfortunately, at the time of Mickey D's McDLT and Wendy's "Where's the Beef?", Herb didn't matter much and following some bad press and a court ruling against the King - it all was considered a flop....which is why any Herb promo stuff is rather hard to come by......
