Description: This auction is for 3 vintage WW1 era brass compasses, as follows: Cruchon & Emons US Engineers Corps brass compass, works but the polarity is reversed and is missing a screw on the lanyard ring; has normal wear and smudges from use and long-term storage. Note ultra-low SN 527, makes this a very early made compass mfg. in Paris; Cruchon & Emons US Engineers Corps brass compass CASE ONLY, all external features look to be present except the lock arm screw; matching numbers on lid and bottom as well as inside case; made in Berne. Plan Ltd. Neuchatel Switzerland brass compass, compass works, lens is in nice shape, missing lanyard ring and base, and the lid it stiff to open / close I bought the 2 latter to use parts to complete the Paris compass and part of the Plan Ltd., but other concerns have come up so I'm selling the entire lot. Size 2-1/8" diameter.
