Description: Just one of inkFrog's Creations Description: Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Charm Felix the Cat 1930's Cartoon CharacterThis is a terrific and hard-to-find vintage English charm from the Art Deco era. The depiction is Felix the Cat, a beloved cartoon character created during the silent film era (1919). The character gained enormous popularity in the 1920's and 30's, and was marketed in many products, from jewelry items to the fabulous clock with moving tail and eyes.The charm is in excellent condition and is finely detailed with Felix in the famous pacing pose with hands behind his back. He must be in a bad mood, as noted by his snarling grimace. The charm, of puffed construction, measures 9/16" by 11/16". The weight is 1 gram. His curled-up tail is the suspension loop. Although not stamped, the charm tested positive for sterling silver. It dates from the 1930's to 1940's. The condition is very good. Please scroll down to the next pane to review shipping terms.
