Description: If you were a mall rat in the 1980's, you will recall the popularity of The Bombay Company. I don't know if they are still out there because I live in far away place with hopelessness for shopping, but I sure miss wandering their stores. It was like traveling without the airfare. With the reminiscences complete, let's get on to the description: This lovely Bombay Company Letter Box is made for desktop use. It is hinged in two places to accommodate papers, envelopes, writing utensils and even has little slots for postage stamps. It's sounding really quaint & old fashioned as I write this, but it was not that long ago that this was a thing. Ironically, someone on the internet has one of these listed as vintage from the 1960's (LOL). As you can see from the sticker on the bottom of this box (see photo), it was manufactured in Taiwan in 1991. The box is stained in a dark cherry or mahogany color (depending on how you judge your wood stains) has a wooden knob pull for the smaller tray & brass hinges. It is in very good pre-owned condition with some wear/bumps/scratching on its exterior from regular use. See photos for details of these imperfections. The inside is like new. The dimensions overall are approximately 10" x 6" x 5.5" but see the photos for the measurements of the two sections. Please ask if you need interior measurements.
