Description: Vintage Bulova “21st Century”, Cal. 8AC, 17 Jewels Manual Wind, L3(1953), 10k Rolled Gold Plate, Working. The 17 jewels movement caliber 8AC is nice and clean and stamped with date code L1 for 1951. The 10k Rolled Gold Plated Art Deco case, with the scalloped sides and horn shaped lugs is in excellent condition, without any plating loss and measures 35.90mm from lug to lug and 23.30mm not including the original Bulova signed crown. The inside caseback is stamped: BULOVA, 5th Avenue, New York. The caseback is stamped: 10k Rolled Gold Plate, BULOVA, L3 and serial # 5817053. The silver dial has some age related patina. The hour markers, hands and all lettering are in very good condition. The original domed, curved crystal is in excellent condition. The black Silk and Leather band is NOS, period appropriate and complements the watch perfectly. This is a gorgeous watch, with exquisite detail. This rare BULOVA model is also referred to as Ivanhoe. This is a vintage watch without service records. I cannot guarantee the accuracy, longevity or waterproofing and should be serviced by a competent watchmaker.
