Vintage Carved Wooden “shell” Armchair By Harris Marcus. Rare Spotted Finish

Description: This gorgeous chair is not simply a chair just to look at it. It’s just to appreciate a thing of beauty made with fine wood and textiles which are durable as well as beautiful in the hands of master craftsman from Harris Marcus furniture in Chicago, Illinois. Not exactly sure of the date of the making of this chair. I have seen other chairs with this distinguished shell carved back however, I have never come across one with this kind of finish to the wood. It is a deep shade of green with spots, almost of gold and black, almost like an animal print in a sense there are several places And where where is noticeable I have photographed from many directions if you would like more photographs, please feel free to reach out the cushion. Part is in fabulous condition. There’s no thin places it looks marvelous the overall height from the top of the back rest to the floor is 39 inches. The seat is 20 inches in diameter and 19 inches from the floor to the top of the cushion. The armrest are comfortable 25 inches at its widest point this chair not only is it beautiful to sit in it is a privilege. It whispers of a Bagon era where people were proud of the makings of their hands. It makes you sit up just a little bit straighter. There is absolutely no jiggle no loose boards. It is in marvelous condition as far as stability and startingit will not last long. It is a treasure that you need to get today.
