VINTAGE CONN 72L American Legion Bugle in G F Trumpet Posthorn

Description: SELLING BRASS INSTRUMENTS ON EBAY SINCE 2001 SELING TODAY VERY RARE : VINTAGE RARE ! CONN 72L American Legion Bugle in G F Trumpet Posthorn. I don’t see S# number anywhere on this horn . This bugle is pretty lightweight and easy to hold takes trumpet mouthpiece. ( it also takes flugel mouthpiece tried with Bach Mpc but shank goes all the way but then it stops still tight and it plays ) For the past of over 20 years I have never seen one like this one. It’s a rare long military bugle made by Conn. ( please see more info regarding history on the last 12th photo ) . The horn which is being sold is present on the 11 photos. This is a very rare specimen fanfare military bugle model 72L stamped on the receiver produced only from 1930 to 1942 to accommodate war efforts and appeared in catalogs until 1944 when it was sold out . Has 0.458” bore so just like basically ML standard trumpet bore. This horn appears to be nickel plated. It has few minor dings with the largest from all dings in the mid pipe below which is facing the floor. Other dings are minor. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS. There is slight tarnish inside the bell flare. The rest of the horn has full plating. There are circles where banner or strap can be attached. The water valve cork was replaced and horn was internally washed and cleaned. It’s ready to play on your event. Also the included black cloth bag was hand washed and it’s clean. It’s still in good shape and will protect the horn from the dust while sitting on the shelf. The slide is long and extends a lot so horn can be played in G and F . It has a very effective look for the fanfare use and with the banner would have a truly a movie look . Don’t miss out.
