Description: Up for sale is a mint, pristine 3 sheet set of maps of the Northeastern US and Canadian continental slopes from 32°N to 37 latitudes, showing known locations (at the time) of downslope mass movements (submarine landslides, mostly) and submarine canyons. One of the sheets shows the seismic profiles an done shows measurements of sediment volume. It was published in 1988 by the US Geological Survey as Misc Field Studies Map MF-2027. Inasmuch as I am a topographic specialist (seafloor mapping), the map was of interest when conducting later studies in the region. You are looking at the outer folio sleeve, which has some significant damage. The maps, however, are perfect, nearly unused since about 1990.I retired in 1999, over 25 years ago. I had forgotten I had it until it recently "reappeared". However, I am now well over 80, and I need to downsize before my heirs have to do it for me. Shipping weight is about 14 ounces and includes a "stiffener" to keep the postal people from damaging the map.If you get more than one of my listings, I will combine shipping and fees.
