Description: Awesome set of 2 vintage Uncle Sam door stops. They would also make a great set of bookends as a pair. These are not cheap imitation "pot metal" reproductions that are common - These are heavy cast iron (The pair weigh in at over 4 pounds). They stand 8 1/2" tall by 5 1/2" wide. These Uncle Sam door stops are in great vintage condition with no cracks or chips, and minimal paint loss. There are no foundry marks, save a "1" stamped in one Uncle Sam, and a "0" stamped in the other - So the maker and year of manufacture are unknown. There is a loss of paint in one of the stars, and on the nose of one of the bookends. Overall, these are in great condition considering their age and intended use.
