Original fibreglass weave shell in "KELLY green" mounted on shockmounts and walnut base. Original Herman Miller stamp on underside of shell. These have the Summit Plastics stamp so came from that factory. The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully. This chair can alternatively be supplied with an oak or American maple wood base, if you would prefer. In very good overall condition, with just a couple of very small scuffs here and there to the edges of the shell, in keeping with its age, but nothing noticeable. A stunning chair - a totally classic, very collectable piece. This is a generic listing so the chair you receive may be very slightly different to the one in the photos but all the shells we sell are in identical condition with no major marks or cracks and the bases are in new condition.
