Description: Lot Vintage Holiday Inn of America The Nation's Innkeeper Mid Century Hotel / Motel Collectibles Includes, 3 Complimentary Plastic Bags / Guest Bags / Advertising Bags1 Holiday Inn Towel and 2 Holiday Inn Guest Soaps The bags are about 12" by 18". All three are clear plastic with the iconic inn's logo in print. One has a green, white, red, and yellow color imprint on both sides. The other two also have print on both sides and feature the iconic green & white logo for Holiday Inn. The advertising bag in the center promotes the Nation's Innkeeper Holiday Inn of America Your Host From Coast to Coast and features the Holiday Inn of America logo. On its other side it is advertising, "Let Us Teletype Ahead FREE...For Your Next Holiday Inn Reservation". I believe the bag with the yellow and red in addition to the white and green is the oldest. The other two bags are advertising Free Advance Reservation by Holidex Computer. In the first picture, the first and last bag are showing opposite sides of the same type of the two identical bags. The complimentary bags intended uses are printed on them: shower cap, shoe bag, damp swim suits, toilet articles, blouses, lingerie, ice bag, etc. The towel is approximately 24" x 16.5". I do not know if it was a hand towel or a bath mat. The complimentary soaps are as shown. They do have signs of storage. The bags are vintage and were in storage, they have some signs of storage and wear. Sold as found. They will be shipped folded. This is from the internet, "In the 1960s, Holiday Inns partnered with IBM to develop a computer reservation system. "Holidex" went online in 1965 as the world's largest commercial computerized communications network. The Holidex system, which allowed customers to book rooms instantly at any Holiday Inn in the country, was an immediate success."and, "Until total conversion in July, 1965, the Holiday Inn chain used a TWX system for reservation inquiries."
