Description: Offered for sale is a vintage Hopi / Tewa pottery bowl in a classic form and filled all around with black-on-yellow painted designs. Although it is unsigned, it shows careful craftwork in its symmetry as well as artistry in well-executed varied decoration. There is some rubbing visible in the photos, but there are no cracks or chips. Penciled on the bottom is a number which might represent an original price of $1.95, incredible if that is all that the maker received for her good work.
