Description: Vintage Howard Pierce blue dove porcelain figurine. - Dove figurine in blue glaze with soft yellow and red tone underside. Very unusual coloring! - Howard Pierce is renowned in the history of Californian art pottery. His designs are known for their beautiful mid century modern style and superb quality, and are highly sought after by collectors. He established Howard Pierce Ceramics in the 1930s and continued producing until his death in 1994. - This piece is unmarked, probably because it was originally sold as a pair and its partner was stamped which is not uncommon with Howard Piece pieces sold as sets. - Great condition with no cracks, chips, or crazing. There is a very small 'pockmark' which would have occurred during the production process (see photo). Measurements: 6 5/8" x 4 1/2" x 3"
