Description: Little piece of my personal history here, as well as a now defunct motorcycle race. This is a T-shirt from the October 2,1983 24th Annual Mile High Enduro motorcycle race in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. For those not aware, enduros are timed events, somewhat like a car rally but in a strange way, and are run cross country, not on pavement. This event was one of two run by the Prairie Dawg Motorcycle Club, which does still exist. Shirt is a Bantam brand, 50/50 cotton-poly, and a mens small (36-38). From the Fall of my Senior year in high school. I purchased this shirt there at the race, put it on and wore it through the race (habit of mine at the time for luck). In excellent condition with almost no wear, as we were not allowed to wear them to school, and I grew out of it quickly. No holes that I can find anywhere, fabric is nicely white, no yellowed armpits, no flaking or cracking of the silkscreen. As far as I can tell, the shirt is perfect except for a one drop oil stain on the inside of the hem in the back which did not bleed through to the outside (see photo 3). Packed away in a gym bag after high school and never saw the sun again. The race made it to 50 years, but is now sadly gone.
