Description: This is vintage notepad page with a message written by then editorial director and editor of Industrial Research Magazine, Robert R. Jones. The page looks like letterhead and the font is really cool. I found it it in Jones’ estate in Evanston, Illinois. On the note is a typed message written on June 13, 1979 from Jones to his adult son Dan.. He is alerting his son about opportunities in the foresting industry. I don’t not believe that anything came of it and sadly Dan passed away at a young age. The note is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and in good vintage condition. See photos! For a bit more history, Robert R. Jones’ mother was Marie Carter, the great great granddaughter of the Potawatomi missionary Robert Simerwell. Her great grandmother was Elizabeth Simerwell Carter, the first white female born in Kansas.
