Description: Penn Antique Restoration Vintage Yellow Distressed Nightstand/End Table * The last 3 photos show another piece we had that was also missing a drawer and our carpenter made a drawer for it. He could do the same for this piece--email us for a price. Lovely, vintage end table or nightstand salvaged from Northeastern PA. Except for the liner under the drawer-opening which is made of Masonite; this piece is made of solid wood (no veneers or particle board). It has 4 beautifully-turned legs and a cute backsplash on the rear edge of the top. It had a drawer, but the former owner preferred to have an opening that she could easily access from her bed. Although the original drawer is missing, our carpenter could make one (see last 3 photos of one he made before). The former owner painted the piece yellow. She wanted a "distressed" look so she made sure she didn't paint it too well. You could see much of the stained wood underneath. If you don't like the color, all it needs is some light sanding and it's ready to prime and re-paint.The desk just has nicks, light scratches, and spots of worn finish here and there--typical wear for a used desk. However, there are no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp. Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and found no repairs to make nor anything to reinforce. All of the joints are strong, and the table is sturdy and ready for another lifetime of service!
