Description: Vintage Vantage VS696B Bass Guitar Made In Japan + OG Case Matsumoku Amazingly rare Japanese bass with original Vantage-branded hardshell case! This bass was Matsumoku-made in 1981 and is in very good condition, currently set up with flats and playing with nice and low action. Bass is medium-scale and plays very comfortably up and down. Bass is all original with brass bridge and split humbuckers, one volume and one tone. Electronics all working great. Neck is straight with a functional truss rod. Frets do not show excessive wear and neck is free of buzzing. This is a solid bass throughout, and a real head turner! There are some nicks and scratches around the body and one on the neck, but nothing detrimental from play. The neck plate is also currently positioned upside down, the only reason I haven’t changed it is because the neck plays so well I don’t want to mess with it! Case shows a bit more wear but is in good working condition with all clasps accounted for. The bass weighs 9 pounds 4 ounces. Local pickup is available in Arlington, Texas (76016).
