Description: Vintage ink and watercolor on paper of a Venice, Italy scene with an unoccupied gondola being steered by a gondolier in the foreground. The black ink work is very detailed and was completed first and then the watercolors were then applied. A signature is located at the lower right and I can not decipher the signature I have seen other ink and watercolor Venice scenes on paper by this same artist that have sold in the past but I'm unaware of anyone who has deciphered the signature. The ink and watercolor image is set under matting and glass in a gold-colored wood frame. I have not examined the ink and watercolor paper out of the frame but it is clear the watercolors were applied to the paper by hand. The image area that is not covered by the matting measures approximately 12.25 inches in width and 8.25 inches in height. The frame size measures approximately 19 and 3/8 inches in width by 14 inches in height. Please see all 12 photographs as the photographs are part of the description. The ink and watercolor paper, the matting, and the glass are all in very good condition. The wood frame is in in very good condition but there are some minor handling scratches to the frame. There is one area on the top back of the wood frame that is missing the gold paint (See Photo 12) due to a scrape and this area would not be visible when the frame is hung on a wall. A hanging wire is affixed to the back of the frame.
