Description: Lovely Vintage white cotton matelasse coverlet. Twin size measuring 74”x 84”. Split corners on the foot ends with a 16” drop length. The coverlet has a large medallion design in the center that features florals, Garlands, and an exquisite fan shaped trellis. The side are an intricate all-over geometric pattern. Scalloped edges on 3 sides. Woven into the head and foot of the coverlet is a makers mark. It reads, “cc patt 41” a date or number underneath “1904”??? (The third number is hard to read. I am assuming this piece dates to the 1950’s-60’s and is a reproduction of an antique pattern. I am also guessing that the CC stands for Crown Crafts. I could be wrong and the coverlet could be older. Fabric is a beautiful bright white, but it has undergone some repairs and has a couple more small frayed holes that need attention. See the last few photos. It has been soaked, then freshly laundered. Please examine the photographs.
