Description: This vintage Plaza Hotel hanger from San Antonio was made in the United States. In addition to the hotel name it has the maker, "Good Form, Washington, Indiana" pressed into the wood at the right end of the hanger beyond the notch. It is difficult to see in the pictures. The impression stating "Member - American Hotel Association" is also stamped and very clear below the hook. The Plaza Hotel had an interesting history beginning in 1926. The first phase with 250 rooms opened January 26, 1927. All rooms included a bathroom, a ceiling fan and custom-made furniture. Rates were $2-8 per night. In 1966 it was converted to low-income apartments for senior citizens and they initially had more than 2500 applicants for the 250 apartments.
