Description: This is a vintage Korean snack box black lacquer wood with peacocks mother of pearl inlay, 9 1/2" in diameter. The box is made of black lacquer and has an intricate design on the lid which is made of mother of pearl. The design depicts 2 peacocks, 2 rose bushes and 2 butterflies. It is executed with stunning details. The box is about 9 1/2 " in diameter, 3" height and weighs about 1 lb 10 oz. It is in a very good used condition, with a couple of minor scratches. This box was originally made for snacks, but there are no compartments inside. It could be used to hold jewelry, candy, knick-knacks, etc. or purely as a decorative object.
