Description: This is a rarely seen Skil 6” bench grinder that I suspect was made by Doerr/Dayton based on the design features consistent with the standard original manufactured branded units. I initially thought this was a Wissota-manufactured, but thanks to some information shared by another EBay member-it appears to match Doerr/Dayton designs. This machine runs up to speed nicely and the capacitors can be heard cutting out during shutdown as it runs very smoothly with no bearing noises. The paint is flaking off the aluminum castings in some areas and as with all older grinding machines-I’d recommend new wheels for safety purposes. Currently it has one grinding wheel that needs dressing at a minimum and a wire wheel on the right side. The cord insulation is showing some minor areas of damage and is obviously old (guessing at least 40 years old) and the grounding stud on the plug end is gone. A new cord may be desired depending on your opinion. Shipping is included in the sale price to the lower 48. Cash sales are preferred if local for savings for the buyer and myself.
