Description: This vintage German wall plaque shows that there is real wisdom in many old proverbs. The English translation would be "If you smile (or chuckle) three times every morning and don't frown when it rains, and sing in the evening as loud as you can - you'll live to be 100 years old". The plaque looks like it was actually cut in a sideways angle, so the slice looks oval. The text was added in black and a decorative floral + bird design on the sides of the text were hand colored. Everything was then covered by a protective gloss. The original tree bark is still attached, only about 2" on the bottom have detached - see 4th photo (hardly visible from the front). Measurements: 11 1/2' x 5 1/4' x 1/2". Will be shipped quickly and very well protected
