Description: This GORGEOUS cotton 1890's lone star quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with multiple borders.It measures 74" X 74" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. The hand quilting is superb, with quilting around the piecework and in straight line, grid, diamond, and feathered designs quilted throughout at 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is a red and white plaid print, and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of northwestern Pennsylvania. The pics just don't do justice to this turn of the century MASTERPIECE in GREAT CONDITION -- it's much more impressive in real life!
