Description: WELLER Rare Antique Flared Top Ribbed Rim Old Shape Matte Blue 1900's Vase. Rare signed script WELLER D 3 initials "V V" on base. Excellent original condition, glaze great no crazing, no chips, cracks, damage, repairs has a great old blue glaze, matte finish all original (a few smudges from age, will probably clean off!) just unwrapped out of storage for last 25-30 years, estate sale in late 70's from Chillicothe, Ohio (Home of Serpent Mound & Tecumseh!) Actually from my Aunts house/collection, we bought 20 pieces from my nephew, Weller, Rosevilles, Rook's, a Newcomb and I inherited 2-3 pieces as well. Possibly her mother bought this piece new. Measures: 6 inches tall, 5.5 inches deep, 4 inch top/across mouth, 5.5 inches at the widest point, rolls down under to a base of 3.25 inch. Has in old Weller script= WELLER under which is says production # of D 3 with the initials V V been told this piece is a very early Weller, like early 1900's or so as they didn't use that mark long!?? Weller experts (None out there!)
