Description: World War I (WW1) Era Scrapbook Ephemera, Sailors Seamen, Naval Ships, Sextant, African American Black Group Photo, Collectible Ephemera This is one scrapbook page is from a larger World War I scrapbook. I am selling the pages separately as some of the pages contain photos of family members that I choose to keep. Other pages from this same scrapbook are or will be listed soon should you be interested in purchasing more than one. There are 4 photographs on only one side of the page. o One of the photographs is of a seaman dressed in all white. He is leaning against what I believe is a lifeboat. He is probably on a ship. o Another photograph is of two seamen. They are also dressed in white and likely on a ship. This photo is either faded or underdeveloped. oA third photograph is of a seaman using what I believe is a sextant. This photo is “fuzzy” toward the bottom. o The last photo is of nine African-American seamen. This photo is also faded and/or underdeveloped with some soiling. However, it is probably the best of the four photographs. I know little about these photos as they are not labeled as some of the others are in this old scrapbook. What is likely obvious is that these photos are not taken professionally. Still, they are an interesting peek into history. If you have more information for me, I am happy to hear from you. Thanks! Each photograph measures about 5.5 inches by about 3.5 inches Currently, the page these photos are mounted on is chipped around the edges but measures roughly 14 inches by 12 inches. Please be aware, that I may trim the paper these photos are mounted on to ensure better shipping in a reasonable-size envelope. While I am accepting returns, please get all your questions answered before you purchase as these are fragile and will not withstand a lot of postal back and forth. PLEASE READ: All items I list as vintage, antique and/or collectible have had previous lives and show wear appropriate to their age, some more than others. All the items I am selling come from my family’s estates of Northern Michigan, Ohio farm country, or Boston and Cape Cod. In most cases, I leave the deep cleaning, polishing and/or repairs, or not, up to the buyer. I describe each item honestly and to the best of my ability, however, I am definitely NOT an expert on every item I list. Please read item descriptions carefully and contact me with your questions before you buy. Please see the photos and feel free to ask questions. Thanks!
