"HONEST JOE" "If only I dared----"I am unable to fully understand the context of this cartoon, but it concerns the Balkans Campaign, although the Soviet Union was still allied with Germany (but Germany would Invade Russia less than three months later). As far as I can find, Russia was not part of this campaign, but the cartoon suggest Russia changing sides (kicking the Hitler in the derriere). Punch, a magazine of humor and satire, ran from 1841-2002.
