Description: This is a 3.7 SPRGR Ammunition Wooden Box Crate proven dated 1940, used during World War II by German forces including Panzer tanks. It is a genuine solid item and surprisingly no worm or rot at all. All original iron work of the lifting handles, hinges, clasps, screws etc. All wood is completely original and solid. Rather clean inside too as shown. Outer is exactly as foundwith original writing to top and a lovely patina to wax up better or leave as required. One minor issue spotted is as follows : Photo 19 shows the 84 year old glue has come unstuck on a part of the rear joint. Photo 20 shows it goes back fine and only needs a simple wood glue but leaving for new owner ( will also glue it if wished ) The crate still has part remains of the original German paper labels both on the outside and inside as shown. This rare find will make a great addition to any militaria collection. The box is perfect for storing ammunition or other supplies and will make a great conversation piece for any history enthusiast. It is ideal for display in a man cave, garage or home. This item is a must-have for any collector of military memorabilia and is sure to impress. Please confirm with the many photos and feel free to contact thank you.
