Description: Original WWII German M42 SD Army helmet shell with replica aged camo finish in good condition. Helmet has a white wash finish below camo paint, and white wash has bled through in various areas of the helmet. Camo colors are green and brown. Heer decal is an aged replica water transfer applied type and is about 40% present. The inside rim markings are hard to read because of overpaint, backside is 00-something. Shell size markings are very hard to see, but appear to be ET64. Using a small flash light I am able to see the liner band size markings which are ( 64 na ) opposite side liner band is dated ( 1943 ). Leather liner has been aged as well. Back of liner stitching has pulled apart as seen. Still has drawstring in place. No chinstrap. There appears to be an old paper label, or old tape on the underside front visor of the helmet, I cannot make out any visible writing on it though. It might have been an old museum tag?
